Basics of Daily Logs

Purpose:

To create a Daily Log.

Background:

Daily Logs are an important document to have filled out every day for each ongoing project. Contractor Foreman provides an easy method for tracking daily activities on the jobsite with Daily Logs. You can log weather, Visitors, Task accomplished, materials used and more.

Points to Remember:

Required fields are marked with an Asterisk (*.) Daily Logs will also show up on your Dashboard (Home Screen) To save your work, click the blue Submit button. To edit the record, click the green pencil icon in the upper right corner. Deleting Items can only be done by a person with Admin Rights or if you are given access to do so. If a Daily Log needs to be Deleted, you can do so by clicking on the Action button at the bottom of the page on the right.

Steps to Create a New Daily Log:

  1. Navigate to Main Menu.
  2. Click on Daily Logs.
  3. Click on blue button Create a New Daily Log on the left.
  4. Enterthe followinginformation:

Details Tab:

  • Project: (Mandatory)
  • Arrival Date/Time: (Mandatory)
  • Jobsite Condition: Select from Drop-down.
  • Jobsite Condition Notes:
  • Tasks Preformed:
  • Status/Departure: Select from Drop-down.
  • Temp/Condition:
  • Weather Note:
  • Any Weather Delays: Select Yes/No.
  • Any Schedule Delays: Select Yes/No.
  • Incidents & Accidents: Any Incidents & Accidents added to the system pertaining to this Daily Log will show up here.

People Tab:

  • Employee Work Notes:
  • Employees on Site: Select from System List.
  • Any Visitors Onsite: Select from Yes/No.
  • Visitors Notes:
  • Employees Clocked In (Per Time Card): All Time Cards pertaining to this Daily Log will show up here.
  • Assign Subs to Job Site: Select from System List.
  • # Employees:
  • Hours on Site:
  • Total Man Hours:
  • Sub Work Notes:

Materials Tab:

  • Material Notes:
  • Material Items Delivered:
  • Add Delivered Material Item:
  • Add Item to Material Items List for Later Use: Check Mark the Box.
  • Item Name:
  • Delivered By:
  • Time: Is added automatically.
  • Quantity Delivered:
  • Quantity Backordered:
  • Quantity Used:
  • Notes:
  • Material Items Used:
  • Add Used Material Item: Select from System List.

Equipment Tab:

  • Equipment Notes:
  • Equipment Items Delivered:
  • Add Delivered Equipment Item:
  • Add Item to Equipment Items List for Later Use: Check Mark the Box.
  • Item Name:
  • Delivered By:
  • Time: Is added automatically.
  • Returned: Check Mark the Box.
  • Notes:
  • Equipment Item Used:
  • Add Used Equipment Item: Select from System List.

Notes Tab:

  • Write Notes if Any:
  • Project Notes: All Project notes pertaining to this Daily Log will show up here.
  • Jobsite Inspections: All Jobsite Inspections pertaining to this Daily Log will show up here.

Files:

  • Add an Attachment: Upload all Photos & Files in link to this Project. (On the phone or Tab this would be a Camera button so just click away & it will upload here automatically)
