What is the purpose of Optional Items and how to create one?
An Optional Item, is a line item in Estimates that allows the approver to select it if they want to add it to the estimate after it has been sent out for approval and to make any line item optional, go to the Menu and choose Estimates. Select the Estimate in which the item exists and enter Edit mode which is the pencil icon on the top right.
Once here, preview the Item by clicking on the Actions button. On the bottom, you will see a checkbox that says Make Item Option. Select it and save.
